Dear Parents and Students of Room 23,
My name is Annette Fuelling and I am looking forward to an exciting 2016-2017 school year. By way of background, I have taught within the La Cañada Unified School District (LCUSD) for the past several years, have over 15 years of teaching experience at the elementary grade levels, and hold a degree in Education from the University of Southern California (USC). Two years ago, I received a certificate in Differentiated Curriculum for Gifted and High Achieving Students from USC, and enjoy implementing these strategies with my students. Over the past year, I have attended a number of conferences to learn about Google Apps for Education. I am excited for our 5th Grade students to begin our 1:1 Chromebook Program and the opportunities it provides. As an educator, my goal is for each student to embrace the "Love of Learning." I pride myself in providing a positive learning environment for my students to grow academically, socially, and personally.
On a personal note, I have lived in La Cañada for the past 19 years and I am proud of our community and incredible school district. I am the only woman in a household of men that includes my wonderful husband, three active boys and loving Black Labrador, Hank. These men keep me on my toes and it can drive me crazy at times, but I would not trade them for anything. All three of my boys attended La Cañada Elementary. It's hard to believe, but my oldest son, Robbie, will begin his junior year in college. My second son, Mike, will start his sophomore year in college in September, and my youngest son, Daniel, will start his freshman year at LCHS. I am proud to be a "Trojan," and frequently attend USC sporting events with my family. We also travel to Mammoth Lakes, when time permits and love to hike, bike, and ski in the beautiful Sierras.
Best,
Annette Fuelling
